CUMBRE DEL SOL is perfectly situated for access to the best resorts on the Costa Blanca, being just 3 Kilometres from the "jewels" of Moraira and Javea and a short drive from the towns of Calpe and Denia. The area has won best climate of Continental Europe, is rated by the World Health Organisation as one of the healthiest in the world, and is ideal for all year visiting. The adjoining village of Benitachell, only 5 minutes away, is a quaint Spanish village with a imposing central church and is renowned for its many fiestas held throughout the year. Moraira, which is only 5km away, is ideally situated between a coast with both sandy beaches and rocky coves, and the mountains of the Marina Altea Javea, which is only 7km away, is a town of great beauty, magical landscapes, a haven of peace and serenity. It is situated between the San Antonio and Las Nao capes, enjoying the impressive and magnificent protection of Mount Montgo.

MORAIRA AND JAVEA - Moraira is part of the municipality of Teulada, situated about four miles inland. In earlier times the centers of population were situated away from the coasts to offer some protection from marauding pirates and invaders- Romans, Morrs, Berbers etc. Moraira developed as the fishing port for Teulada, and both the lookout tower (Torre-vigia) on Cap d'Or overlooking Moraira's El Portet beach, and the castle are reminders of the past
In more recent times this quiet and peaceful fishing port has become a busy yet peaceful resort. Javea itself is a small historic Town, free of high rise buildings offering a relaxing holiday and contact with a friendly and forthcoming local population. Javea town is steeped in history, with Tosca stone porticoes, gothic bay windows, wrought iron window bars and balcony railings. The Arena area is the commercial and tourist part of Javea.

OUT AND ABOUT - In Cumbre Del Sol there is a horse riding center and tennis courts. The tourist office offers free guided walks of the area in English and Spanish during the summer. Also during the summer, pleasure boats sail between Cabo San Antonio and Denia up to 3 times a day. There are a number of activities for children in the Benedorm area which include Mundomar Marine Park and Terra Mitica "historical" Theme park. El Vergel safari park is 20 minutes North (near Denia) and also in the area are a number of go-karting tracks. Valencia city is well worth a visit for the central market, and the Oceanographic (spectacular aquarium) that forms part of the City of Arts and Sciences.

GOLFING ACTIVITIES - The 9 hole Club De Golf Ifach is located only 3km away in the local town of Benissa and offers club and trolley hire plus discounted rates for group bookings and juniors. Further courses include the 9 hole Club de Golf Javea in Javea itself, with the Jose Maria Olazabal designed 18 hole course at the Club de Golf La Sella being located a 20 minute drive away in Denia.
