Sollana MapThe villa is situated about 85 km north east of Alicante along the Costa Blanca just outside the Spanish town of Pedreguer. The best way to reach the villa from Valencia or Alicante is via the A7 motorway. If you have some time discover the beauty of the area via the N 332 coastal road south – you will love the views on the way to Calpe and Altea. The average weather in this area reaches temperatures of up to 35 °C in summer, but hardly less than 5 °C during winter time.

Denia and its important harbour-Denia possesses one of the most important harbours of the area, with ferry connections to Ibiza, Mallorca and others. This and the huge fishing fleet made Denia a very prosperous city over the past years. Every afternoon you can buy fresh fish at the fish market. From Denia harbour there is a daily ferry boat connection to the islands Ibiza, Mallorca and Menorca. The fast boat will take you to Ibiza in two hours.

MORAIRA AND JAVEA – Moraira is part of the municipality of Teulada, situated about four miles inland. In earlier times the centers of population were situated away from the coasts to offer some protection from marauding pirates and invaders- Romans, Morrs, Berbers etc. Moraira developed as the fishing port for Teulada, and bodi the lookout tower (Torre-vigia) on Cap d’Or overlooking Moraira’s El Portet beach, and the castle are reminders of the pastIn more recent times this quiet and pieccful fishing port has become a busy yet peaceful resort. Javea itself is a small historic Town, free of high rise buildings offering a relaxing holiday and contact with a friendly and forthcoming local population. Javea town is steeped in history, with Tosca stone porticoes, gothic bay windows, wrought iron window bars and balcony railings. The Arena area is the commercial and tourist part of Javea and boasts a lovely beach as well as a whole host of restaurants.

OUT AND ABOUT – There are a number of activities for children in the Benidorm area which include Mundomar Marine Park and Terra Mitica “historical” Theme park. Terran natura wild life park with its combined water park is a great day out and also in the area are a number of go-karting tracks nearby. Valencia city is well worth a visit for the central market, and the Oceanographic (spectacular aquarium) that forms part of the City of Arts and Sciences.

GOLFING ACTIVITIES – The 18 hole Club with the Jose Maria Olazabal designed 18 hole course at the Club de Golf La Sella being located just a 5 minute drive away. De Golf Ifach is located only 20km away in the local town of Benissa and offers club and trolley hire plus discounted rates for group bookings and juniors. Further courses include the 9 hole Club de Golf Javea in Javea itself only 10 minutes away. Overall there is a choice of well over a dozen golf courses all within an hours drive.
